Quick Service test

The MongoDB service is started automatically following installation. So you only need to log-in to the server using the SSH keys provided and query the database using the MongoDB shell.

Starting and Stopping the Service

To start and stop the service - sudo service mongodb start - sudo service mongodb stop

Config locations and key variables

  • The MongoDB conf file can be found here - /etc/mongod.conf
  • The log files can be found here - /var/log/mongodb/mongod.log
